In the midst of challenging times, marked by conflict and uncertainty, ACE logistics Ukraine stands resilient, poised to make a bold move that transcends borders. Against the backdrop of the ongoing war in Ukraine, we are proud to announce the opening of our new office in the vibrant city of Lviv.
This strategic expansion not only reaffirms our commitment to growth but also reflects our belief in the enduring spirit of innovation and progress, even in the face of adversity.
Beside the ongoing war, Polish truckers started protest in 6 November 2023, demanding that the European Union reintroduce a permit system for Ukrainian truckers entering the bloc and for EU truckers entering Ukraine. The strike on the Ukrainian border has escalated tensions in the region, adding a concerning dimension to the already complex situation. The implications of such an action reach beyond the immediate military context, impacting diplomatic relations and potentially influencing the dynamics of the ongoing conflict.
Last days has given little relief as one border (Yagodyn) is open, but there is information that protesters have submitted documents to close it again. The queue is still at least 10-14 days long. The Slovakia-Ukraine border is periodically blocked but as the border has a small capacity, the queue is also about 10 days. The queue at Hungarian Ukraine border is about 5-7 days, but Hungarian and Slovakian carriers are blocking the border for transport that goes exclusively to Ukraine. The queue in Romania-Ukraine border is about 8-9 days for export from Ukraine and for import to Ukraine the queue is 7-8 days.
Our Ukrainian colleagues will inform us additionally when situation becomes easier. Until now its complicated to offer transport solutions with normal costs and transit times. ACE Logistics groupage line to Lviv and Kiev via Rzeszow is running, but with the delays. It is not possible to guarantee transit time and weekly departures from Rzeszow at the moment.
In such complicated times ACE Logistics Ukraine operate in 2 offices in Kiev and in Lviv. Step by step we are trying to develop our services and find solutions for our Customers. We are glad that on 14 December 2023, the European Council decided to open accession negotiations with Ukraine and we sincerely hope that the situation at the border will stabilize soon and we can continue offering reliable transport between Ukraine and Europe despite ongoing war and complicated times.
