ACE Logistics Group and Dachser SE have signed an agreement, where Dachser will acquire ACE’s 50% stake of the co-founded company Dachser Finland Oy. ACE will continue investing in Baltic States, thus strengthening their position in the local logistics landscape.
In the course of expanding business activity and opening of new branches across Scandinavia, Dachser is striving for unified process setup of all its activities around the Nordics – on country and regional level. Taking this into account, an important step in that journey is Dachser’s initiative to become the sole shareholder in the Finnish company, after 10 years of successful development of our joint company in Finland.
Dachser employs around 1,800 people in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. The company has made more investments recently: last year, Dachser acquired the Swedish food logistics company Frigoscandia AB and recently invested in new branches in Aalborg, Denmark, and Kristiansand, Norway. Dachser is also continuing to grow Sweden with new premises in Jönköping and Landskrona and a new site in Tampere, Finland, will join the network in spring 2025.
ACE Logistics has co-operated with Dachser for over 25 years and will remain as an exclusive partner in the Dachser’s European road transport network in the Baltics and Ukraine. ACE is strongly connected with the European transport network, with daily groupage traffic routes.
For ACE, one of the main targets for starting joint activities together with Dachser was to build up a strong and reliable transport network between Baltics and Finland. Current changes in the ownership of the Finland organization will not create any interruptions and changes to our joint transport network setup between Baltics and Finland, which will operate further as usual on a daily operational level.
ACE will continue investing in Baltics and Ukraine, with the opening of the new cross-docking terminal in Kaunas scheduled for the end of 2025. New terminal in Kaunas will bring many new opportunities to further develop and strengthen ACE’s position in the Baltic logistics market.
We express our sincere thanks to our close colleagues from Dachser and wish them good luck in their developments in Scandinavia!
